Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the US. The current president is and the controlling owner for the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss hails from California is a member of an extremely wealthy family. Jerry Buss, her father was a successful entrepreneur with a real estate business who later was the owner of Lakers Entertainment and Sports. Her feelings of abandonment were heightened when her parents separated in the year 1972. At the age of 19 she inherited management of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as the General Manager. Then she founded an organization called the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. She was the president at the Great Western Forum, before becoming the Vice president for the Lakers. Her father passed away in 2013, and the control for the Lakers was passed on to Buss and her five siblings through a family trust that gave each sibling the same vote. Her duties were assumed as the president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling, a professional organization that has its the headquarters located within Los Angeles.
