Aaliyah Dana Haughton came into fame in 1994, after she released her debut Album Age Ain't nothing but A Number. The singer was barely fifteen when her debut album was released as Gold. It was made as part of a group that was greatly influenced by R. Kelly and it placed her in the limelight. In 1996 she worked together with Jermaine Dupri as well as Timbaland for her second album One In A Million which contained the number-one hit single If Your Girl Only Knew. With the debut of the album Aaliyah received international recognition as an R&B singer. She appeared alongside the legendary martial artist Jet Li in the romantic-action movie Romeo Must Die. She is also known as Aarti Magumdar for her stage name. She started her acting career as a minor actor in TV and film roles, but her popularity increased in the mid 2000s. In addition to The Big Bang Theory her other notable works are Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017). She has appeared in numerous commercials, including Volvo's global car producer. Her home is within Los Angeles with her husband and daughter. She is continuing to develop her acting profession.
